When squirrels call your home their home?

7/28/2017 (Permalink)

The unpleasant sound of little feet

Squirrels are fascinating creatures that belong in their normal outdoor habitat. When they invade your home through small holes or cracks in your vents, roof or windows they can become quite a biohazard.
Among the many hazards that can be encountered include chewed electrical wires, fecal matter throughout an attic and even an occasional dead animal. Each of these issues can cause a variety of problems from potential fire hazards (the result of chewed wiring) to potential sources of pathogens and illness from the fecal matter or decaying animal bodies.
If you have such a problem don’t touch these areas yourself. The waste left behind by these animals can encourage the growth of mold and attract other bugs. If left unattended this waste contains a pheromone scent that will attract more squirrels to the area. Don’t wait to clean it up-Trust the clean up experts at SERVPRO- Campbell County to make your clean up look "Like it never even happened."
